An Interview With… Chris Whiteley

So this is Chris, self-proclaimed “Handsome Chris” and just “Whiteley” round the office; he’s one of our Senior Recruitment Consultants within the Construction team, and I think it’s fair to say, our office jester.

He can be a man of few words (hence the brevity of this post) and, I will say, the answers below are actually a revised version… I’ll leave you to wonder what his original answers may have been because he won’t actually allow me to post them… they were worse though, much worse!

How did you get into Russell Taylor?

Rob Kurton mentioned an opportunity one night at the rugby club, I started 4 weeks later.

What would you be doing if you hadn’t joined RT?

Probably playing international rugby, or darts.

(I’m guessing the former! He and Rob coach Hoylake Rugby Club’s First XV Squad together and RT sponsors them – which you can read about here)

Favourite ice-cream flavour?

Raspberry Ripple

Most expensive drunken spend?

I got married.

(Can you believe this was actually the revised answer!!)

Three wishes you’d wish if a genie appeared?

Big lotto win, a superpower, long & happy life for the kids.

What song is in your head right now?

Human League – Don’t You Want Me

How long can you go without tea/coffee?

All day

What is your favourite joke?

It’s hard to explain things to kleptomaniacs because they always take things, literally!

(I prefer the reindeer one… maybe i’ll post it for you closer to December)

Favourite holiday you’ve had so far, and why?

Corfu 2005 , hot and relaxing, 1st abroad holiday with my Wife

Bonus Question:

What is the most unusual food that you’ve eaten, and why did you eat it?

I will eat anything… I ate a worm to scare kids at a children’s party.
