Here at Russell Taylor we like to encourage the gift of giving.
Each November participating colleagues have their names drawn for Secret Santa and we all find our gift from under the tree on our last day of the year. It’s a fun-filled activity both in the search for the perfect pressie and when we all unwrap them at the same time & guess who bought for whom.
If you’re new to workplace Christmas gifts then you might need a few pointers – so here’s our top 3 tips of things to take into consideration…
Opt-In or Opt-Out. Even if there is a group exchange it should be made clear that participation is optional and not a requirement.
Set a budget. Spending too much can make the receiver uncomfortable, but spending too little can make the gift seem like an afterthought.
Make it personal. Show you are thinking of the recipient by finding something he or she will specifically enjoy.
Every gift which is given, even though is be small, is in reality great, if it is given with affection. ~ Pindar
