Shoe boxes full of gifts and rucksacks for the homeless have been donated by RTG to both Operation Christmas Child (annual appeal run by international relief charity Samaritan’s Purse) and to YMCA/Thompsons Mission for the homeless.
And these aren’t our only charity efforts either!
We’ve also supported Cash for Kids Mission Christmas (the largest annual Christmas toy appeal in the UK) and Cruse Bereavement Care through various means such as casual clothes, coffee mornings & Christmas Jumper Day to name a few. Last month, we also ran a collection for local homeless food bank Community Spirit Wirral.
As a very charity-orientated business, it was decided that we would gift 65 shoeboxes, rucksacks and toys so that every gift is from one employee of Russell Taylor and Recruit Right to someone else in the world.
On the subject of Shoebox World, Group Managing director Ben Russell said…
“Those of us who are looking forward to spending Christmas with our families are reminded at this time of the year that not everyone is as fortunate as us.
Filling these shoe boxes with toys and other items to bring some comfort and joy is one small way we can help make a difference to children in Moldova who have virtually nothing.”
Simon Barrington, executive director at Samaritan’s Purse, added…
“Every shoe box is packed with love, bringing the true meaning of Christmas to children.
Thank you to Russell Taylor and Recruit Right for partnering with Operation Christmas Child and for helping to bring joy through a simple shoe box gift.”
