Two major awards are within the grasp of Russell Taylor Holdings Ltd, adding to the recognition this year of the business that’s become one of the biggest technical recruitment companies in the UK.
Chief executive Ben Russell has been named as a finalist in the Business Person of the Year category in the prestigious Wirral Business Awards 2017 which celebrate the enterprise, excellence and innovation of the business community.
Russell Taylor Group, part of Russell Taylor Holdings, is also a finalist in the awards ceremony’s Business of the Year category, open to companies with more than 50 employees. Last year, the company took the title of Business of the Year in the 11 to 49 employee’s category.
“As a business we’ve had some great successes and seen some amazing achievements over the past year but being named as a double finalist in the Wirral Business Awards is certainly among the best.
“In a relatively short time we’ve grown from a modest family run business to one of the biggest technical recruitment companies in the UK.
“The realisation that expanding from a business set up with only three people in a spare room at home to a holding company that encompasses seven recruitment companies with a combined £200m turnover, employing 550 staff and with 10,000 temporary workers on our books is mind-blowing. Yet, at heart, we still see ourselves as a family firm, with family values and playing a huge part in our local Wirral economy.”
Paula Basnett, chief executive of Wirral Chamber of Commerce which organises the annual event, added:
“These awards celebrate the fantastic work our businesses undertake in supporting Wirral’s economic prosperity.
“Each year I am amazed at the creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship demonstrated in the award applications we receive. Wirral Business Awards ensure that the talent and success of our nominees’ achievements is recognised and quite rightly rewarded.
The winners of the Wirral Business Awards 2017 will be announced at a gala dinner and awards ceremony at Wirral’s Thornton Manor on September 22.
